  • DIETER: Want info regarding the parents of Abbot Bendon Charles Dieter, born July 4, 1866, Catasauqua County, Northampton, PA. Married Sep 8, 1888, to Hatties Kline. Resided Alletown, Whithall Twp, Lehigh County, PA . Looking for parents of both. Submitted by T. Diederich (Sep 2002)


  • GORDON: Searching for information on Leon L. Gordon. Parents were Mary F. and James L. Gordon. They lived in Riverside, CA as of 1902. His sister Helen Hunt Gordon was married to Charles Blackstone Worcester who lived in Riverside, CA, until she died in 1951/1952. No one in our family ever saw or heard from Leon after Helen's death or knew anything about him or his whearabouts. A. Landingham (Sep 2002, Dec 2002)


  • SHARP: Seeking info on Frederick Granville Sharp. Frederick was the son of Robert Manley Sharp (5-4-1852) and Mary Eleanor Paisley. Possibly one of 6-7 siblings. Frederick married Sara Ethel Wilson, lived in Steubenville, OH; had children Charles 7-13-1914; Mary 4-11-1924; and Robert. Frederick left the family, possibly relocating to Chicago with the railroads, and started a new family in the late 1920s. Would like to locate family of this missing side. M. Sharp.   • AUGUST/WOODS: My great aunt Bertha D. August (b 18 Feb 1878) married Sim Woods, died in Apr 1913. She then married Fred Cummings, but I have no info as to the date. I only know that she then married Pete J. Deaux. They had a daughter Pauline and a son Fred who died 21 Mar 1974. Fred had a son named Ricky but I have no other names or dates and this is what I am searching for in this inquiry. A. Landingham (Sep 2002)

  • LEWIS/McCOY: Ancestry.com Family Trees have Susannha Lewis (1806-1808 TN-1881 IN) wife of Wm McCoy, as the daughter og Richard Lewis & Elizabeth Manley. One of Susannah & William's sons was Reuban Manley McCoy (182301905) so probably true. Does anyone have real "proof" that Susannah is the daughter of Richard Lewis. Supposedly Richard Lewis' father is Evan Lewis and Quaker records do mention an Evan Lewis. Susannah McCoy is listed in 1850-1860 census in Howard County, IN. K. Stephens (Sep 2002)


  • WRAY/RAY: Ancestry.com Family trees has Nancy Wray (1820NC-1869 IA), wife of Samuel Potter, as a daughter of Chesley Mark Wray/Ray. Nancy & Samuel had a grandson names Chesley so this is probably true. Does any one know of any real "proof" that Nancy is the Naughter of Chesley Mark Wray/Ray?   • CHANDLER: Looking for William Chandler, born around 1605 England. Immigrated about 1635 to Newbury, MA. Testified in first Salem witch trial. Wives included Mary Fowler, Mary Lord , and Mary ???. Wrote to Cotton Mather on behalf of Newbury citizens requesting religious tolerance. Sons are William, James, Joseph. Submitted by E. L. Chandler, now deceasd (Dec 2002)


  • OLSON: Searching for inf0rmation on the family of my paternal grandmother Berta Louisa "Bertha" Olson (b 1-28-1887 Backhawk, CO, d 3-30-1967 Santa Ana, CA). Wife of George Fiske Milton. Berta was the child of Luis Olson and Elin Engstrom (b 6-25-1856). Her parents divorced 12-22-1900 and her mother Elin married Mr. Linstrom. Berta was abandoned by her new step father and raised by her Swedish cousin. She was hired out for maid work until she married George Fiske Milton in 1916.   • REED: I am writing to you in hope you can connect me with a branch of my family. We are looking for relatives of John Henry REED and his wife Catherine (MORRIS) REED. They moved to Riverside< CA, in 1890 and became well-known citrus pioneers. J. H. REED died Feb 26, 1920 in Riverside, CA.Also his sister Melissa's daughter and husband, Charles and Carrie (REED) BOGUE. Carrie was still living in 1930 in Riverside, CA. They were alll from Portage County, OH, originally. My reason for this search is that rtwo boxes were found in the attic of the old REED homestead in Rootstown, OH.   • CONVERSE, CORUM, STEPHENS: Seeking information on Marshall CONVERSE, age 24 as found in 1930 Census Polson, Lake County, MT. Marshall's age at first marriag was 24. Wife listed as Verna, age 43. Verna's age at first marriage was age 15. Verna's maiden name was CORUM and her first husband was Albert Crawford STEPHENS. Her second hunsband may have been a WHITE. Verna and Albert were married in KY and sometime after Albert's death in 1923, she and her 3 children moved to MT, possibly with her brother's. Also living in the 1930 CONVERSE houlshold were Verna's 2 sons, Clem age 16 and Wardell 18, and grandson Forest Bex age 6, son of Verna's daughter Hallie/Helen. Marshall was born in Canada (English) and his father was born in Iowa and his mother in Canada. Would like to know who where Marshall's parents? Where and when did Verna and Marshall marry (1929-1930 Lake Couty MT?). Where/when did Marshall die--Verna's papers said she was a widow in 1937.
