- KING-MIDDELTIN/MIDDELTON also JOHNSON, HENRY/McCLOUD/REDCLOUD, ANGEL, CUNNINGHAM: I would like to correspond with anyone related to this family. Charles KING born 1838 Alabama and died before 1900 census in Roswell, NM. Married abt 1861 (Texas?) to Mary MIDDELTIN/MIDDLETON. Mary bornabt 1824 Alabama. Mary Died 1824 Roswell, NM and is buried in South Park Cemetery in Roswell. Mary can be found in the 1900, 1910, 1nd 1920 censuses for Roswell, Chaves County NM. For the 1920 census she was residing in the household of her son-in-law and daugher Wm and Frankie Johnson.
Charles and Mary had at least 9 childen--some of whom I only have initials for. (1) J. M. KING born about 1863 TX; (2) Mary A. KING born about 1864; married to a Mr. ANGEL and resided in Roswell, NM in 1924; I have not found her in a census as yet; (3) J. A. KING born about 1866 TX; (4) G. L. KING born about 1869 TX; (5) Pilinia Lee KING born 8 July 1873 TX; married to Samuel CUNNINGHAM (I have extensive info on this line); (6) Charles P. L. KING, born about 1875 in TX; married to Dusia; had at least 4 children born in TX, NM, AR; Charles was in the 1930 Census Inola, Rogers County, OK; (7) Tobias Eldridge King, born about 1878 TX; listed in the 1900 census Roswell,Chaves County, NM, with mother and siblings; may have lived later in Old Mexico; (8) Ruby KING, born NM; Married to John HENRY; Surname for HENRY could also be McCLOUD or REDCLOUD; Ruby resided with mother in Roswell, Chaves County NM, for 1900 and 1910 census; in Jan 1924 she and John HENRY were in Inola, Rogers County, OK, where 2nd son was born; she was residing in Roswell, NM, in 1924 as a McCLOUD at her mother's death; also listed as McCLOUS in 1924 and 1926 Roswell City Directory; By 1930 she was a widow, Ruby HENRY living in Maricopa County, AZ (the election district as listed on the census could be in city of Phoenix); in 1930 Ruby was listed as a maid in parent's family yet her parent's were both deceased; SS info says Ruby was in CA in 1937; Ruby died 1977 CA; Ruby and John had at least 2 children; confusing assortment of married names for Ruby(9) Frankie KING (female) born NM; married to William Johnson; Frankie in the 1900 Census Roswell, Chaves County, NM, residing with her mother and in the same place in 1910 and 1920 with her husband; Frankie died before the 1930 census as her husband listed a widowed.
