William Henry Shuckhart, 78, of 16 Bates Street, former employe of the Ohio
Fuel Gas Col, died at 8:40 p.m. Sunday in a Columbus Hospital, after a long
The son of Charles and Catherine (Hardy) Shuckhart, he was born Oct. 29, 1875,
in Oakdale, Pa. He spent 30 years in the employ of the Ohio Fuel Gas Co., and
was retired June 1, 1945, from the Mansfield Division.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Evelyn Shuckhart;  three daughters, Mrs. Mildred
Jackson, Mrs. Dorothy Toomey and Mrs. Mary Eckstein, all of Newark, also 20
grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Three sisters and three brothers are
deceased, and he was the last of his immediate family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Gutliph &
Henderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Louis H. Lammers officiating and burial
will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The body is a the funeral home."
