JACOB WEBER (died Jan 13, 1909)
Jacob Weber, aged 82 years, one of Newark's oldest and most highly respected
citizens, died at his home, 51 Stanbery street, Wednesday morning at 10
o'clock, after an illness of pneumonia, which dated only from Sunday last. He
is survived by eight children, a daughter in California, a daughter, Miss
Elizabeth Weber, of the home, and six sons, William and Antone of this city,
George of Van Wert, O., Charles of Baltimore, Md., Henry of Portland, Oregon,
and Albert of Cleveland.

Mr. Jacob Weber one of the oldest best known and esteemed citizens of Newark,
died Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at his late residence, 51 Stanberry
street. His age was 82 years.
Mr. Weber was taken ill last Friday, and bronchial-pneumonia developed
rapidly. He was unconscious during his latter hours and slept peacefully away.
His wife preceded him nine years ago to the Great Beyond. They reared a large
family of children all of whom survive. They are Antoine W., William and
Elizabeth of this city, Charles J. of Baltimore, Md., George P. of Van Wert,
O., Henry C. of Portland, Oregon, Albert B., of Cleveland, and Mrs. F. M.
Parker of Los Angeles, Cal.
Mr. Weber was a consistent member of the St. John's Lutheran church.
The funeral will be held Friday from the home at 1:30. Rev. Michael Schlieffer
officiating. Interment at Cedar Hill cemetery.
