Notes for Percival NOTT


Ceremony performed by Daniel Roach, Justice of the Peace, Morgan Co.

Served in the Civil War, enlisting at age 48 for 3 years with the 77th Regt.,
Co. A, O.V.I. as a Private.  Reinlisted as a veteral.

Died from wounds received in the Battle of Shiloh in the Civil War. He was a
corporal in Co. H, 77th Regt., Co. A, Ohio Volunteer Infantry, commanded by
Col. Hildebrand. The encounter took place at Pittsburgh Landing on the
Tenessee
River, about 8 miles north of Savannah, GA. Percival was wounded 6 Apr 1862
and
died of his wounds on 14 Apr 1862.
