!According to their daughter, Mary Irene Guyton, "The 1913 flood took the
little village of t wo general stores, a passenger and freight depot, boat
warehouse, grange hall, blacksmith sho p, post office and several dwelling
houses, which were never rebuilt.  The postoffice was tak en to Stockport and
the people are served by rural route carriers".
