!Double wedding with their respective cousins Henrietta Abbott and Thomas
McDermott in sthe C atholic Church.

They went to Nebraska in 1873 and settled in Hamilton County, moving to Omaha
in 1880.  In ea rly manhood he was a pilot on the Musingum River.  He was an
Undertaker with his establishmen t in Omaha from 1886 to 1926.  He was the son
of Arthur Taggart and Margaret Corny Taggart .  His father, the largest
landowner in Morgan County, constructed two of the first sets of d ams and
locks on the Musingum River, including those at Stockport.
